Paleo diet friendly pretzels that pack very good flavor!


For those pretzel lovers who are following a paleo diet (a.k.a. Stone-age diet), Quinn Foods is baking a pretzel without enriched flour. Instead, they are using cassava flour (a.k.a. yuca), potato starch, tapioca starch, sweet potato starch and only a few other ingredients. The cracked black pepper flavor is very good, and has the right amount of spice you would expect from cracked black pepper. The pretzels taste salty, yet their sodium content is lower than most pretzels. Because of the spice in the pretzel, you can serve these plain, or with a mild dip. Try them with a smoky Scotch whisky or pop.
