Cheese: Because Everything Tastes Better With Cheese, Especially Pretzels

Nacho Cheese

Nacho Cheese is a great compliment to pretzels.  Lots of national and local companies make nacho cheese, so if you find one you like, enjoy.

Best to pair Nacho Cheese with:

Small Bavarian

Rods

Mini Pretzel Bread Nuggets

Beer Cheese

Pretzels hold up well to Beer Cheese, which is thicker than most Nacho Cheese recipes.

Best to pair Beer Cheese with:

Bavarian Hard Sourdough

Mini Pretzel Bread Nuggets

Cream Cheese

Cream Cheese is a good compliment to Pretzels, but you need a thick Pretzel to hold up to the firm Cream Cheese.  Some people will soften the Cream Cheese and mix it with other ingredients for an easier and more flavorful dip.

Best to pair Cream Cheese with:

Sticks

Small Bavarian

Pretzel Crackers

Stone ground mustard can be spicy, but also look for other types of spicy mustard.  You might even find some with horseradish as an ingredient!

Best to pair Spicy Mustard with:

Twists

Rods

Bavarian Hard

Honey Mustard

Honey mustard can be a little runny, but it pairs well with a plain pretzel.  Afterall, honey mustard and pretzels go so well together that many bakeries are baking the honey mustard right in to the pretzel (i.e. Snyder's).

Best to pair Honey Mustard with:

Dipping Sticks

Small Bavarian

Pretzel Crackers
